New Layout for Your Sellfy Store

Have you already noticed anything different about your store? We’ve just rolled out an update to how your store looks and feels, switching the focus from Sellfy to your brand.

You’ll notice that we’ve almost completely removed Sellfy branding from your store and product pages, leaving just a small powered by Sellfy block in the footer. Want to learn about all the changes we made? Read below.

First, why are we making these changes?

We are updating your store layout to make it more about you and your brand. Before this, your store was just a profile on Sellfy marketplace. Now we’re aiming at making every store an independent entity with its own powerful brand.

We’ll be rolling out more customization options in the coming months, so you’ll be able to match the branding on your website, social media and your store.

What changes for your store?

You’ll see quite a lot of changes for your store and the way it looks. This is the list of the top 3 biggest changes:

#1. Your brand comes first.

All your store, product and download pages have the same branded header now. This helps guide your customers through the whole process, making them feel more comfortable that everything is going as planned. There are no sudden changes in the design that could make them feel unsecure about purchasing from you. It will also prevent any confusion from buyers as to WHO is the creator they’re buying from.

#2. Cleaner, modern look.

Designed to make your store look good on all devices. Your store will now give the impression that it was designed for the year 2017.

#3. Store visual customization (coming soon).

Following this layout update, PRO users will receive access to our store customization tool, with more controls over the color, feel and look of your store.

On top of that, we’re also releasing some smaller changes, that you’ll find useful:

Separate about page. Your store will have a separate about page from now on. At first, we’ll limit it to text only with up to 1,000 characters, but later you’ll get a WYSIWYG editor (see below).

Replaced “Follow” button with “Subscribe”. Customers and store visitors will be able to subscribe to updates from you and your store. A prominent block asking to subscribe will be displayed in the footer of your store.

Pixel Bazaar Subscribe

More social icons (coming soon). Previously, you only could list 3 links in your profile page – Twitter, Facebook and one custom URL. Soon you’ll be able to list many more social icons, including YouTube, Instagram and more.

WYSIWYG about page (coming soon). You’ll be able to describe your store in as many details as you want and even complete it with pictures and testimonials.

How can you start using the new layout?

Your store will be updated automatically, you don’t have to do anything to switch from old version to new.

    Please bring back the fallowers,the social media on the top,I need to know who is fallowing me and who unfallow me ,as there is not a notification for it,the change I dont like it,trying to, but I dont like anything on It,sorry…

        I really hope ,redisignen ,on the new version to appear back the fallowers and who I fallow ,how I can see the ppl sellfy profile? I cant see them anywhere ,so I suppose no one who is fallowing me ,can see me and my new products either,this is annoying me because I lose money and you lose too ,so let It as am option of a layout to chose from ,please.

      Hi Andrea,

      At the moment it is not possible to do this.
      The main search is available on the main page https://sellfy.com. However, this engine isn’t intended for thorough searches for new products and such.
      This is because we are removing most of the “marketplace” features from store/product pages to improve buyer experience and give cleaner interface to sellers so that they don’t interfere with sales. Sellfy primarily is supposed to be used as a tool for creators who want to sell via their own channels, not via Sellfy.
      Currently we can’t tell you when the follow feature will be back again. This issue will be solved during the week.

    Hello,

    I really like the layout, but I’m missing my social media links at the top. I also loved the pages where I can find who I’m following and who is following me. REALLY missing those! It’ll also be nice if there’s a button to click to see the feed of recently added products of people that I follow. I do have the link saved in my bookmarks, but it’ll be smart to have alllll of this just right there where it should be.

    I’m Andrea again…
    Well,im really dissapointed about the new layout,the idea about the fallowers is that ,someone who fallows me ,means that she/he wants me there for the future to see my work,or for when they have money to buy something from my shop…now they cant see me anywhere anymore 🙁

      We are working to bring those pages back with a whole new discovery experience inside the user area on Sellfy. So it will be back, but in a different shape than before.

      It may take a while as the feature will come together with enhanced store customisation features. So new exciting stuff is coming your way. 😉

      We understand that this may be inconvenient for the time being and we truly appreciate your patience!
      It may be valuable to work on growing your audience via your social media or forums etc. That’s where you can guide people to your store as well while the Followers option is disabled on Sellfy.

        Less distractions at the top of the store. Like number of followers I have, the number of profiles I’m following and so forth. I also removed my large store cover page image – as a result, it looks cleaner and all focus are on the products themselves. I like that.

  • I love the new look! Love that you’re making the shop pages more appealing to clients. I’ve had clients get skittish about buying before because they could tell they left my site and didn’t know if Sellfy was trustworthy (it’s not as well known as Amazon or Etsy).

    I would love to see another feature added. I have tons of clients that ask me about affiliate links and they would love to promote my products and get affiliate money at the same time. If you could add an option for us to add people as affiliates and pay out a designated percentage to them, that would be amazing.

      Well, the affiliate feature is something that we’ve considered before, but we’ve decided it’s not the direction we’d like to go right now.
      We have our own affiliate program, which works differently though.

    I like the layout I dislike that the following & followers is gone. That was a major feature I used. Now Im stuck searching through hundreds of purchases in attempt to find a seller. There has been many times I gave up which cost that seller money & it is still costing sellers money including myself.

        The subscribe feature is in place & useless as I can not see who has subscribed to me nor can I see who Ive subscribed to. Im also waiting on a email response on how to turn off autopay.

          We are aware of the flaws within our current setup. That’s exactly why we are building the new Subscribe feature (which is not the same as the one that’s available to you now). 🙂
          And we can understand your choice to move on if our service doesn’t suit your needs. After all, you know best what you need.

    I am content with the next layout. However, like many others, I would like to express concern over the (potentially​ temporary) removal of our “following” list. I had, as you now call it, subscribed to a few business associates. If I am not given a direct link, then I have issues navigating the site; or, I simply cannot find my subscriptions. I understand that you claim to be bringing this back under the Account section, but is there any estimated completion date? How long will I have to wait for this feature to be implemented again? I am moderately frustrated with the lack of networking on the site, but only because I, as the seller, cannot collaborate with my colleagues.

    I really love the new layout! I’ve been away for awhile and just logged in, happy happy. Like others, I miss the follow button. But the subscribe button is nice. Just wish it was at the top and not hidden at the bottom of the page. Maybe you can fix this?
    I do have a question, what is the best size for the cover image at the top? I deleted the old one because it was pixelated due to the change.

    The whole site is difficult to navigate and non-user friendly. Why is it so difficult for online companies to provide an intuitive interface these days?
    The current set up doesn’t make me inclined to pay for a pro version.
